ABSTRACT

“I have recently expanded my practice into abstraction, where I continue to interrogate masculinity through earthly, masculine palettes—deep rusts, weathered grays, industrial blacks, and muted ochres—that evoke strength, resilience, and vulnerability. Drawing from the overlooked beauty in natural urban textures and decay, such as rusted metal, cracked concrete, peeling paint, and eroded surfaces, I embrace circumstance and natural accidents in my process. Collage elements, uncontrolled spills, and energetic splatters build richly textured compositions that reveal history, time, and transformation.

In these abstract works, I navigate contrasts of light and darkness, seeking poetic beauty in the often dismissed ‘ugly’ aspects of the urban landscape—its patina of wear, fragmentation, and quiet endurance.“
