Urban Sediments
“I use personal photographs of weathered city surfaces—from street art to found textures—as repurposed source material for abstract compositions. These images are printed, torn, sanded, and reassembled onto painted canvases that mimic the distressed surfaces of urban environments. Through layering and abrasion, the work reflects the slow accumulation of visual history within the city, where time, environment, and human activity leave behind traces that become embedded in the landscape. The resulting abstractions function as fragmented remnants of urban memory, transforming overlooked details into monumental forms that invite a renewed second look at the inherent beauty of urban decay.”
