Sediments
In Cultural Sediments, I construct layered collages on painted grounds that evoke the weathered surfaces of urban walls. Working with repurposed vintage gay adult magazine imagery, I tear, abrade, and stain each element so that figures emerge in states of partial erosion—marked by time, environment, and cycles of removal. This process mirrors the accumulation and decay of cultural memory, tracing shifting ideals of masculinity within the gay community and the persistent nostalgia attached to earlier archetypes of the idealized male body. By translating once-private images of desire into surfaces that recall public urban remnants, the work considers how identity, beauty, and history are continually constructed, circulated, and worn away.

In Urban Sediments, I construct layered collages on mixed media grounds that evoke the weathered surfaces of the city. Working from personal photographs of urban textures collected across multiple cities over time, I tear, abrade, and stain each image so that fragments appear accumulated, eroded, and in flux. This process mirrors the physical and temporal layering of the built environment, where traces of use, neglect, repair, and disappearance continually reshape the urban surface. By extracting and reframing overlooked details from the everyday city, the work considers how place and memory are constructed, obscured, and worn away, revealing the quiet sedimentary beauty and natural abstraction embedded in what is typically ignored.

Pop Art
Through my Guerrilla Block series, I create images that embody a street-art-inspired aesthetic, blending elements of pop culture, nostalgia, and gay iconography. The work challenges conventions of representation, appropriation, and cultural critique—or, more importantly, simply offers a sense of fun in both its creation and impact.
Each piece features a mix of found imagery and personal photography that is digitally manipulated and collaged together. These vibrant creations are wheat-pasted onto repurposed blocks of wood, finished with black-painted sides, and coated with varnish for a polished look. Signed and numbered on the back, each artwork captures the playful spirit of street art in a collectible form you can bring into your home.
